Award Season: Emmy Nom for PDX PR Maven's Band

AND THE EMMY MIGHT GO TO: Portland PR maven Laurena Marrone Campos is "humbled and honored" that her client, Gangstagrass, was just nominated for an Emmy for the theme song of the hit FX series: Justified. The show stars award winning actor Timothy Olyphant and features the song "Long Hard Times to Come", written exclusively for the show by Gangstagrass. Acclaimed author Elmore Leonard (author of Out Of Sight, Get Shorty, 3:10 To Yuma, and the novels adapted into Jackie Brown and Justified) just posted a congratulatory message on his Twitter feed. He adds: Rench and his friends have done nothing short of creating a new form of music. Gangstagrass takes two types of music that are opposites and mixes them together brilliantly in a way that is natural and enjoyable."

One thing Laurena to forgot to mention is that she contacted Gangstagrass within seconds of hearing their Emmy nominated track. I remember her telling me about Gangstagrass months ago, and how as soon as she heard that track she knew that this was really something special. Good job girl! Now come back to Brooklyn.
