DID YOU HEAR THE ONE ABOUT? County Commish Jeff Cogen held his birthday bash/re-election campaign kick-off party in a comedy club, The Curious Comedy Theater.

How funny—and cool—is that?

Everybody was there: Roey Thorpe, Karol Collymore, Ted Wheeler, Lew Fredricks, Amanda Fritz, Dan Saltzman, even Mary Volm (and her arm candy Jasun Wurster).

Volm told me, after taking the photo above, that if I ever was going to "flash" her again, it better be with something other than a camera.

At the party, pizza was tossed.

Cupcakes were devoured.

And a couple of emo-looking kids kicked it up a notch with a rousing rendition of Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl."

Now, there has got to be a joke in there somewhere.
