PostHeaderIcon Queer Cine-Teens: Get on The Busse Bandwagon!

MOVIE TIME: So why am I letting Phil Busse take over my blog for this post? Because, despite all his shenanigans, the hot wannabe world-changer wants to do really good works. So that's why I am providing the following space for this queerific offering:

"Do you know a teenager who would enjoy - and benefit from - producing short films? Are you a LGBTQ teen interested in producing a film?

In March, the Northwest Institute for Social Change is hosting a 10-week long program that will teach LGBTQ teens how to produce short, professional-quality films. They are looking for interested students (nwisc.com/programs/teen_voices/).

The program is free of charge, but limited to 12 students. Applications are available at:  nwisc.com/how_to_apply/

Participating teens will attend media literacy and media production seminars, and then take those skills to the streets to produce a professional-quality short film that address stereotypes—whether that is a serious-minded documentary about a local civic leader or a funny narrative about a gay superhero.

(Sidenote: why do I think the photo above is Phil from when he was dealing with his own "issues"?)
