Stardar Report UPDATE: Another Portland Designer To Appear on Project Runway!

SCORE TWO FOR THE HOMETOWN TEAM: Talk about your embarrassment of riches.
Looks like not one, BUT TWO, Portland, Ore.-based designers will be "making it work" on the next edition of Project Runway.
I was just informed that Janeane Marie Ceccanti—who lists her hometown as Willows Calif.—but lives and works in Portland will strut her stuff next to another local designer, Seth Aaron Henderson.
Ceccanti, who has a website here, has her fashions hanging on the racks of downtown's Radish Underground.
I really like her work. She looks like the real deal.
Portland Mercury's Majorie Skinner had high praise for Ceccanti during the PDX Collections here: "The star of the show was, as anticipated, Janeane Marie, whose futuristically themed collection showed flexibility, hard work, and talent in a sexy mix of sheer-paneled and armor-sharp pieces that hit every mark from dress to pants to tops to suit, ending in a beguiling little white dress. The highlight of the collection was perhaps the detailed attention given to the shoulders of each piece, brimming with detail and wicked little peaks of shape."
Who knew Portland was such a hotbed for reality stars?
Here is a video of Ceccanti from Lifetime's site. By the way, she has a really cute hubby named Jordan and they look like they live near the South Park Blocks. Her q and a states her favorite hangouts in Portland are Doug Fir and Powell's Books:

You can read more about both the designers (and where you can find there fashions) on the very cool The Neat Sheet blog here.
