Walking On Sunshine: Here is a behind-the-scenes peek at the transformation of one of the Pearl District's busiest thoroughfares. Over the week, and culminating on First Thursday, Northwest 13th Avenue will morph into "Double Happiness" street complete with giant "Happy" banners and big floating heads. This happy happening comes courtesy of Patty, Amy, Bridget and all the good folks at Cargo in honor of the China Design Now show currently at the Portland Art Museum. Interesting to note, the giant heads were handsourced by Weiden + Kennedy's own John C. Jay and his wife Janet.

Resistance Is Fun: I Love Torchwood. And this was the most amazing story arc EVER. Nice to see Cort and Fatboy are using it to herald their "return" on 11/09/09.

  Keep these messages coming. I am a straight man, who approached same-sex marriage with a simple question: "Why not?" In all of the research I've done, I cannot find a single valid legal or constitutional reason not to allow it. A marriage between you and Juan would have absolutely no effect on my life, so why shouldn't it be legal? I was 17 when Measure 36 passed. Even though I couldn't vote, I told everyone I saw to vote no on it. I can't wait for the day it is repealed.

  I understand that the focus is gaining the right to marry. But you two are the reason that we deserve that. You're two genuine, dear men who I admire both individually and as a couple. You are obviously in love in a way I seldom see in straight couples.
