Alex, Alison, Susan and Nik Sokol Blosser, the wonderful Sokol Blosser winery, dinner in the Tasting Room
WINE DINNER: Sokol Blosser Winery celebrated Oregon pinot noir—and the one year anniversary of their new Tasting Room—on Thursday night at their gorgeous estate in Dayton, Oregon with a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience.
The intimate dinner, a pre-event for this weekend's 28th International Pinot Noir Celebration in nearby McMinnville, featured an truly incredible menu featuring seared foie gras, spanish morcilla and A4 Kobe ribeye roast, all crafted by Chef John Gorham of Toro Bravo, Tasty N Sons, Tasty N Alder and his just-opening Mediterranean Exploration Company. Each dish was paired perfectly with Sokol Blosser's best wines. And in honor of this special invite-only occasion, Sokol Blosser opened a select few bottles of their 2012 pinot noirs for an early preview of this highly-acclaimed vintage (which just so happens to be the first vintage under the watchful eye of winemaker Alex Sokol Blosser).
