FASHION TRAILBLAZERS: Just feet away from the big Blazers game happening in the Moda Center, the Opening Night of Portland Fashion Week 2014, held deep within the Veteran's Memorial Coliseum, featured clothing designs by beach-friendly Columbia Sportswear, the first peoples look of Revolution Couture, the scantily clad cowboys of UnderU4Men, and the Real Housewives of Portland couture of OPearl Brands. A portion of the proceeds from the night went to support Basic Rights Oregon.

Portland Fashion Council were the good folks who brought you the Spring Edition of the largest fashion event in the Pacific Northwest with seating for over 1,000 per night and a shop till you drop marketplace of PFW pop up shops. Before and after the fashion show you could doll up with Dosha, get your pic shot with a dude in nothing but his skivvies at UnderU4Men, browse the bow-wow-ness of Bean's weiner-themed couture (I loved their "sex, drugs and weiner dogs" t-shirts) and check out a bunch of other cool shops. Speaking of cool, Portland's First Lady, Nancy Hales, was there to open the show and show her support of locally made fashion as well as Basic Rights Oregon.
