GOLDEN GALA: Fifty years ago, on October 1, 1963, Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette opened its first health center in Portland, OR. Since then, this important organization has been the leading provider of sexual and reproductive health care, expanding access to 60,000 women, men and teens across Oregon and southwest Washington.

To commemorate this historic anniversary, honor those who made our success possible, and raise critical funds to continue providing services for the next 50 years Planned Parenthood held a Golden Gala at the Portland Art Museum on Friday night complete with exceptional meals from the Art of Catering and performances by the Lions of Batacuda and BodyVox. Dale Johannes was the emcee, and the Honorary Chairs were Ted and Katrina WheelerDr. Mark Nichols received the Golden Uterus Lifetime Achievement Award for his service to Planned Parenthood.
